My 24 Day Challenge – Cleanse Phase

     The FedEx man delivered my box of AdvoCare products the other day and I immediately opened it up.  I was like a kid on Christmas pulling all of the different things out of the box.  I sat everything on my kitchen counter and called Rustin to have him walk me through everything.  After he explained everything to me and in what order to do things, I began my Challenge! The following is a brief overview of my first 10 days of the 24 Day Challenge
Day 1
Beginning weight, 238 lbs.  Finished my P90X workout for the day.  Also started the AdvoCare products today.  Mixed up a Spark and took some Catalyst.  I also mixed up one of the fiber drinks.  I’m not going to lie, this tasted like cardboard.  Luckily it was only 8oz!  I immediately followed that by chugging a bottle of water afterwards. Throughout the day I ate like I should (every three hours), taking Catalyst in between meals.  With my third meal (dinner) I took the OmegaPlex pills.  Those aren’t too bad.  Herbal Cleanse pills right before going to sleep and all is well.
Day 2

Woke up and found out I lost 1.8 lbs already!  Drank a Spark and took Catalyst.  For the fiber drink today I used 4oz of orange juice with 4oz of water.  It tasted slightly better.  More like really pulpy OJ and less like cardboard.  Downed another bottle of water after that nasty stuff.  Used the restroom and noticed my urine was dark yellow, almost brown.  Come to find out this is the body flushing the toxins.  Had my first meal (breakfast.)  Completed my P90X for the day.  Ate every three hours: first meal – snack – second meal – snack – third meal – snack.  Remembered to take Catalyst about 30-45 minutes after each meal and the OmegaPlex with my third meal.  I feel like I’m eating ALL the time.  I’m never hungry, always content…which is awesome! Finishing the day with the Herbal Cleanse pills.  Excited about tomorrow!

Day 3

This stuff is definitely working!  Woke up to another 2.8 lbs gone!  That’s a total of 4.6 lbs already!  Same routine as yesterday. Spark, Catalyst, fiber drink, water, and P90X.  My urine is still dark.  29 years of toxins probably takes a little while to flush! Meals and snacks, with Catalyst between meals.  Threw an extra Spark in while I’m at work for the extra energy and focus!  Herbal Cleanse pills before bedtime.

Day 4

Eh, only .6 lbs lost but it brings my total lost up to 5.2 lbs.  I imagine it has something to do with the fact that I haven’t gone #2 today.  Anyway.  Today there wasn’t a nasty cardboard fiber drink to mix up.  Instead I took a couple of ProBiotic Restore pills along with my Catalyst and Spark.  Other than not drinking a fiber drink today, it is pretty much the same story as yesterday.  Maintaining my good eating habits, eating something every three hours.  I seriously feel like that’s all I’m doing is eating!  Oh yeah, my urine is back to being normal.  Normal being clear or sometimes very light yellow.  This pleases me.  I thought for a minute there that something in the pills I was taking was dying my urine.

Day 5

Woke up today with my biggest single day loss to date.  Dropped an astounding 3.6 lbs to bring the total lost to 8.8 lbs!  I think a large part of me dropping three pounds is that intense workout from yesterday!  Everything today was the same as yesterday.  Kind of hard to mess this stuff up since it’s nearly the same thing every day.  Very good routine.  Eating every few hours keeps me aware of when I need to take my Catalyst as well!

Day 6
Didn’t really lose much.  Looks like a negligible .2 lbs for a total loss of 9 lbs.  Day 6 was pretty much the same as day 5.  Woke up and mixed up a Spark, took my Catalyst and ProBiotic, hung out for awhile before eating my banana and a Cutie for breakfast.  Rode my bicycle 5.31 miles. Knocked out some P90X. First snack today was a handful of almonds and some water.  For lunch I had a romaine salad, a Cutie and some water.  Next snack was an apple and water.  Dinner consisted of a can of tuna mixed with some spicy brown mustard and some steamed broccoli and you guessed it, more water.  Oh, and OmegaPlex.
Day 7
Looks like I may have leveled out here.  Didn’t lose anything, but I also didn’t gain anything.  Today started out exactly the same as yesterday with the exception of riding my bike.  Today I just did P90X for my workout.  That’s where the similarities ended.  Being St. Patty’s Day I was overly tempted by green beer and greasy food.  I succumbed to the temptations and had entirely too many green beers and ate some of the most delicious pizza I’ve ever had.  I’m sure I’ll pay for it tomorrow on the scale. :\
Day 8
I was afraid of this.  I’m paying for last night this morning.  I feel great, energized and ready to go.  But the scale hates me today!  Looks like I gained 3.2 lbs from one night of fun.  Oh well, I’ll just work that much harder to get rid of it! Back on track with eating right.  Today brought back the cardboard tasting fiber drink first thing in the morning with my Catalyst, ProBiotic and Spark.  Breakfast. P90X. Catalyst. Snack. Catalyst. Lunch. Catalyst. Snack. Catalyst. Dinner. Catalyst.  See a pattern here?  Side note: while doing P90X I feel like I could just keep going and going and going.  Since I had already been doing P90X prior to starting AdvoCare products, I’m going to attribute this new found energy to that!
Day 9
Dropped .6 lbs.  I was really hoping for more, but I’ll take what I can get.  This changes my net loss to 6.4 lbs.  Today was much like yesterday as far as eating and drinking.  The one change was to my workout.  I went to the YMCA this morning and ran 2.5 miles, lifted some weights and shed lots of DNA (sweat!)  Went home and took a nap.  Woke up and killed some P90X!  I’m hoping for big things tomorrow…the final day of the “cleanse phase” of the 24 Day Challenge!
Day 10
Being back on track has me feeling great AND I dropped nearly 2 lbs!  A little structure, a little willpower and some supplements seem to go a long way!  Today’s eating and supplements were the same as yesterday.  Thank goodness I don’t have to drink that cardboard tasting fiber drink for another 90 days or so!  All in all, during the “cleanse phase” of this 24 day challenge I have lost a little over 8 lbs.
From what I’ve been told, during the next 14 days I should see even more pounds shed right off!  In addition to the weight loss, I feel more energized and able to focus on daily tasks better than ever before!  I’ve noticed less fatigue after doing different exercises such as P90X, bike rides, weight lifting and runs.  As far as I’m concerned, these products are WELL worth the money!  I’ll certainly continue to use them!
