John Shue

A little about me…
First, let me tell you a little about me. My name is John and I lived in Central Indiana my entire life. That is, until October 2013 when I moved to Florida. Then in early 2015 I moved to Northeastern Illinois. I’m a huge fan of proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar. There’s nothing worse than trying to hold a conversation with someone via our written language and having to decipher the message they are trying to convey by including your own punctuation. It’s already bad enough that we are devolving as a society; we should try to keep our messages clear. Oh, and “K” is not an acceptable answer to anything except things like: “What letter represents potassium on the Periodic Table of Elements?” or “What letter comes after “J” and before “L” in the alphabet?”

Favorites…
Now that we’ve gotten one of my bigger pet peeves out of the way, we can get to the good stuff. My favorite color is orange. I like every shade of orange, not just one particular shade. I also like that it is one of the English words that doesn’t rhyme with anything (go ahead; try to rhyme it with something.) I love Oreos; but only the Double Stuf ones. Anything less or more is just not right.

My favorite season is baseball season. I enjoy everything about it. My favorite professional team is the St. Louis Cardinals. Don’t worry, even if you’re a Cubs fan, we can still get along. Actually, I think it could make going to games together that much more fun.

Fun facts…
I am a daddy; I love my kids. God is important to me. Orange Starbursts are the best. I’d rather be cold than hot. I enjoy all music. I’ll try nearly anything twice. My friends are like family to me. Smiling is my favorite. I’m the oldest of two. Bonfires can’t be beat. Photography is another passion of mine. I try to learn from other people’s mistakes and experiences. I have seven tattoos, planning to get more. I love watching movies. If you’re on time, you’re late. I’m guilty of using commas, a lot. I also tend to use smiley faces quite often. 🙂 Batman is better than Superman. Onions are nasty. I have a bucket list; it’s awesome!

Last book I read (aside from the Good Book)…
‘Eve’ by W. Paul Young
